BFA in Theatre (Production and Design)
York University — Toronto, Ontario
About this program
York University's Theatre — Production & Design BFA gives students practical, hands-on technical skills in the creative aspects of theatre: set design, costume construction, stage management, sound, lighting, scenery, and technical direction. The program engages students in all elements of theatrical design and stage production. All Theatre students share a Foundation Year of Acting, Production and Design, and Performance Creation. At the end of first year, students may apply by audition or interview to move into the Production & Design BFA. Upper-year students work on mainstage Theatre@York productions in the Sandra Faire and Ivan Fecan Theatre and participate in the student-run playGround Festival and Devised Theatre Festival.
