BA in Honours in Dance
York University — Toronto, Ontario
About this program
York University's Dance BA (Honours) is a 120-credit program focused on the theoretical, historical, and analytical study of dance alongside practical studio work. In the BA Honours program, students study urban and world dance forms, dance history, movement analysis, kinesiology, injury prevention, dance writing, and dance ethnology and anthropology. The BA Honours is particularly appropriate for students who wish to undertake a double major combining dance with another field. Final year includes a capstone independent project aligning student interests with future employment goals. Unlike the BFA, admission to the BA in Dance does NOT require an audition (based on academic grades alone).
