BA in Production Technologies and Stage Management (Hons)
Royal Central School of Speech and Drama — London, England
About this program
The BA (Hons) Production Technologies and Stage Management at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama is a three-year program training stage managers, technical theatre professionals, and production technicians. The flexible course structure allows students to develop core stage management skills and then tailor their specialization toward lighting, sound, production management, or general technical theatre depending on their aspirations. Note: The former BA (Hons) Stage Management and Technical Theatre had its final intake in September 2024 (graduating 2027); the new BA Production Technologies and Stage Management replaces it. The program includes a strong focus on technology, inclusivity, and sustainability, taught by industry experts. Students work on productions alongside acting, directing, design, and costume students, developing critical communication, problem-solving, and production management skills. Second-year students undertake a bespoke, tutor-consulted personal development year. Central is a University of London institution. Applications via UCAS.
