BA in Costume Production (Hons)
Royal Central School of Speech and Drama — London, England
About this program
The BA (Hons) Costume Production at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama is a three-year program developing highly advanced technical skills for the costume industry. The program covers pattern cutting, garment construction, costume supervision and management for live and screen performance, historical and contemporary costume, accessories, and sustainable production methods. Note: The former BA (Hons) Costume Construction had its final intake in 2024 (graduating 2027); the new BA Costume Production is the current program. Students collaborate from the first year with designers, performers, and stage management students on Central's extensive public production program, including productions at the Embassy Theatre and Webber Douglas Studio. Industry placements are a core component, with past students working at Pinewood Studios and with West End and National Theatre wardrobe departments. Central is a University of London institution. Applications via UCAS.
