About this program
The BA (Hons) Acting at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire is a three-year, full-time professional actor training program at a Federation of Drama Schools member institution. Formerly known as Birmingham School of Acting, the drama provision became part of Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2017 with roots as a drama school going back to 1936. Rated in the Top 10 in the UK for Drama and Dance by the Guardian League Table, the program is designed to develop students practically, personally, and professionally for the demanding realities of the contemporary acting industry. Training covers voice, movement, singing, stage, screen, and radio performance. All students are trained for a career in front of a stage, screen, or radio audience. Students work closely with the stage management, applied theatre, and music students at RBC, gaining a wide range of collaborative experience across the Conservatoire. Applications are made via UCAS Conservatoires (not main UCAS). A non-refundable audition fee of £46 is payable through the UCAS system. The program is based at Ruskin Hall in Bournville, Birmingham.
