BFA in Acting
Oakland University — Rochester Hills, MI
About this program
Oakland University is a public research university in Rochester, Michigan, approximately 25 miles north of Detroit, home to the nationally respected School of Music, Theatre and Dance (SMTD). The BFA in Acting is NAST-accredited and provides intensive professional training in acting, directing, movement, voice, and speech for students whose primary interest lies in performance. OU is one of only three Michigan universities with NAST accreditation, and one of the very few undergraduate programs in the nation to partner with a professional Equity company on campus — Meadow Brook Theatre, Michigan's largest Actors' Equity contracted theatre. Students regularly work alongside professional actors and directors, building credits and relationships unavailable at most comparable programs.
