BM in Music Performance (Vocal)
Nebraska Wesleyan University — Lincoln, NE
About this program
Nebraska Wesleyan's Bachelor of Music in Music Performance — Vocal track emphasizes specialization and intensive study of the voice. Entering candidates are accepted conditionally for two semesters; at the end of those two semesters, a committee of at least four music faculty (at least two from the voice area) determines continuation via jury and interview. Students study with Dr. Dawn Pawlewski Krogh in Opera Scenes — NWU has offered opera for more than 30 years — alongside coursework in diction, theory, history, and ensemble singing. Students sing in University Choir (auditioned), Chamber Singers, or Gold Standard Singers (select a cappella).
