BFA in Acting
Nebraska Wesleyan University — Lincoln, NE
About this program
Nebraska Wesleyan's BFA in Acting builds actors through the four-course Acting sequence (I-II-III-IV), moving from fundamentals into advanced character analysis using Ibsen, Shaw, and Chekhov, then into professional audition preparation. Voice and Speech training introduces dialect work via IPA transcription and recordings. Acting for the Camera develops on-screen technique. Senior Capstone synthesizes the undergraduate experience and prepares students for the industry transition. Students gain reps across NWU's 30+ production annual season in the McDonald and Miller Theatres, often starting freshman year. The senior industry showcase introduces NWU seniors to agents, casting directors, and managers.
