BM in Music Performance (Instrumental)

Nebraska Wesleyan University — Lincoln, NE

BMMusicLincoln, NE

About this program

Nebraska Wesleyan's Bachelor of Music in Music Performance — Instrumental track emphasizes specialization and intensive study of the major instrument. Entering candidates are accepted conditionally for two semesters; at the end of those two semesters, a committee of at least four music faculty (at least two from the candidate's field — woodwind, brass, strings, percussion, or keyboard) determines continuation via jury and interview. Students perform in the Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band, and chamber ensembles, plus chamber music and solo recitals. The Symphonic Band performs annually at NWU's Music Showcase Concert and the Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble annual spring shared concert.
