About this program

The Bachelor of Musical Arts (BMA) at the Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA) at Roosevelt University offers a flexible 120-credit individualized program of studies in music combined with course work in a second discipline. The BMA allows students to combine substantial conservatory-level music study with focused work in another field of interest (e.g., business, arts administration, music technology, education, social justice, psychology, or another academic discipline). The BMA degree is ideal for students who want serious music study but also want broader academic flexibility than the traditional Bachelor of Music. The Music Conservatory of CCPA, founded in 1867, has been NASM-accredited since 1928 and Roosevelt University is a founding member of NASM.
