About this program
The BM in Music Education with Songwriting and Production Emphasis, offered through CCPA's Interdisciplinary Conservatory, provides a path toward Illinois K-12 music teaching licensure for composers, arrangers, producers, and sound engineers interested in classroom music teaching. One of the few programs in the country combining conservatory-level music production with full K-12 teacher preparation, the curriculum includes applied studio lessons in songwriting and production, DAW coursework, and the full music education and professional education sequences required for Illinois licensure.
