About this program
The BM in Music Education with Vocal track at Rowan University prepares choral and vocal musicians for K-12 music teaching careers in New Jersey and beyond. Like the Instrumental track, this is a double major (BM Music Education + BA in Education) requiring audition for admission. Students earn New Jersey K-12 music licensure upon graduation. Field placements in K-12 choral and general music classrooms begin in sophomore year, deepening each year and culminating in a full year of student teaching. NASM-accredited. The College presents more than 75 public performances annually.
