About this program
Oberlin Conservatory of Music is the oldest continuously operating conservatory in the United States, founded in 1865 in Oberlin, Ohio. It is the only major music school in the country that shares a seamless campus with a nationally renowned liberal arts college, giving students the unique option to earn a BM and a BA in five years through the Double Degree Program. Approximately 120 freshmen are admitted each year from more than 1,400 applicants worldwide. Oberlin offers nine concert halls, 150 practice rooms, 240+ Steinway pianos, 32 organs, seven electronic music studios, and one of the finest conservatory libraries in the world. Nearly 100% of admitted students receive merit scholarships, and Oberlin meets 100% of demonstrated financial need.
