About this program
The Bachelor of Music in Music Technology at Jackson State University is one of the few NASM-accredited music technology programs at an HBCU, with a state-of-the-art recording studio and music technology lab in the F.D. Hall Music Center. The program prepares students for careers in music production, audio engineering, recording, sound design, and music technology research, integrating technical training with foundational musicianship. JSU is the only HBCU music department in Mississippi with an accredited music technology program. Students benefit from professional-grade studio facilities and instruction from acclaimed faculty (composers, authors, performers, and grantees from numerous internal and external funders). NASM-accredited.
