About this program
Elon's BFA in Acting provides conservatory-style training in a liberal arts setting. Elon is recognised in the theatre industry as 'a proven training ground for mature, skilled, and knowledgeable actors.' Alumni perform at Asolo Rep, Alliance Theatre, Mac-Haydn, Maine State Music Theatre, Paper Mill Playhouse, Goodspeed Musicals, GEVA, McCarter Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, Ogunquit Playhouse, Olney Theatre, and New London Barn Playhouse, among many others. CURRICULUM: Acting technique and process; voice and speech; movement; scene study; Shakespeare; stage combat; audition technique; TV/film acting; professional resume and industry contacts preparation. FROM DAY ONE: Students begin performing in stage productions, festivals, and workshops from their first semester. 'You won't have to wait in line to perform.' STUDY ABROAD: Classical studies in Greece; semester residencies in London; internships with professional London theatres. SCHOLARSHIPS: Up to $8,000/year; all auditionees automatically considered.
