About this program
In addition to the three BFA programmes (Acting, Music Theatre, Dance Performance and Choreography), Elon's Department of Performing Arts offers three AB (Arts and Baccalaureate) degrees that do not require performance auditions. AB IN DRAMA AND THEATRE STUDIES: No audition required; no separate Acceptd application required. Broad-based theatre education in a liberal arts context. Prepares for careers in arts administration, theatre management, dramaturgy, directing, and education. AB IN DANCE SCIENCE: No audition required; no separate Acceptd application required. Combines dance training with scientific study of human movement, kinesiology, and exercise science. Prepares for careers in dance medicine, physical therapy, dance education, and performance. AB IN THEATRICAL DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY: Interview via Acceptd required — no performance audition. Students submit materials and schedule an interview with faculty through Acceptd. Prepares for careers in scenic design, lighting design, costume design, sound design, stage management, and technical direction.
