About this program
Dallas Baptist University's Department of Music offers the BM in Theory as part of its NASM-accredited program in Dallas, Texas. The mission is to educate students to engage the global society through transformational musical performance, scholarship, and service as servant leaders. Theory majors are required to present a 30–45-minute recital during the senior year consisting of original compositions and arrangements for a variety of voicings or instruments. Ensembles include: University Concert Chorale, DBU Doxology, DBU Grand Chorus, Piano Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Music Theater Practicum, and Opera Theater. Liberty Singers, Patriot Chorus also available.
