BFA in Musical Theatre
Otterbein University — Westerville, OH
About this program
Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio offers one of the Midwest's premier BFA Musical Theatre programs within its NAST-accredited Department of Theatre and Dance. Designed to develop triple threats, the program delivers a rigorous four-year sequence in acting, voice, music, and dance — with daily instruction in jazz, tap, modern, ballet, and musical theatre dance. Musical Theatre majors take courses in music theory, keyboard, private voice study, and all acting classes alongside BFA Acting majors. They audition for all five mainstage productions annually — not just musicals. The program culminates in a professional Senior Showcase in New York City, filmed and distributed to casting directors and agents nationally.
