About this program
Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio offers a rigorous BFA in Acting within its NAST-accredited Theatre and Dance Department. The program is dedicated to developing sensitive and caring theatre artists committed to the highest standards of professionalism. Otterbein produces five mainstage productions annually, giving BFA Acting students consistent performance opportunities across the full season. BFA Acting students receive training in diction and dialects, movement (Alexander and Feldenkrais techniques), Fitzmaurice voice, scenework, acting for TV/film, and Shakespeare. Students work alongside BFA Musical Theatre majors in shared classes and productions. The program culminates in a professional Senior Showcase in New York City, filmed and distributed to agents and casting directors nationally.
