About this program
Tisch Drama organizes its BFA around a studio system. Students spend at least the first two years in a primary-training studio and may then transfer to another studio, go abroad to partner drama programs in London and Berlin, take an academic semester, or move into an advanced-training studio. Primary-training studios (current roster on Tisch Drama's studios page): Stella Adler Studio of Acting, Atlantic Acting School, Experimental Theatre Wing, The Meisner Studio, New Studio on Broadway (the musical theatre studio), Playwrights Horizons Theater School, Production and Design Studio, and Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Advanced-training studios: The Classical Studio, Stonestreet Screen Acting & Production Studios, and The Innovation Studio. Studio placement occurs in late May after Tisch acceptance and student deposit.
