About this program
Nazareth's BFA in Theatre Design and Technology builds a four-year resumé, portfolio, professional credits, and industry contacts. Students choose an emphasis in costume design, lighting design, or set design, while also exploring other areas of technical theatre. Hands-on production experience begins in the first semester. Students build and paint scenery, create costumes from beginning sketches to fitted garments, and prep stage lights and props. Show positions include carpenter, head electrician, wardrobe and makeup crew, or assistant designer in the Arts Center and Callahan Theater.
