About this program
Three four-year BA Honours degrees in Theatre at Dalhousie's Fountain School of Performing Arts. Theatre Studies: focuses on theatre history, critical analysis of drama, dramaturgy, playwriting, and directing; Honours Qualifying Project involves serving as dramaturge or assistant director on a Fountain School production. Costume Studies: focuses on the construction and study of costume for stage and historical reconstruction. Stage Design and Technical Theatre: focuses on sets, lighting, sound, props, stage management, and stage design. All three programs offer honours, combined honours, double major, and minor options. Range of subjects: acting, costume, technical scenography, dramaturgy, directing, playwriting, movement, dance. Up to four productions per year.
