About this program
Converse's BM in Music Therapy is AMTA-accredited and prepares students for entry-level competencies in healthcare and educational settings. Students complete two Functional Music Skills Exams (Level I: prerequisite to clinical practicum; Level II: prerequisite to internship) requiring demonstrated proficiency in guitar, piano, and voice across clinical song repertoire. Program concludes with a six-month internship at an AMTA-approved healthcare facility, after which graduates may sit for the CBMT board certification exam (MT-BC). Must earn C- or better in all music courses throughout. NASM charter member.
