BM in Music Education
Colorado State University-Fort Collins — Fort Collins, CO
About this program
CSU's BM in Music Education is a professional degree preparing students to become highly skilled music educators. A feature unique to CSU's music education curriculum is the field experience component — students gain countless hours of classroom and ensemble teaching experience beginning in the very first semester of study, continuing throughout all four years. The program prepares graduates for Colorado state teaching licensure (K-12 music). Applied instruction on primary instrument or voice, large and small ensemble participation, and methods courses specific to all instrument families and voice prepare students for the full range of K-12 teaching contexts. The BM in Music Education + interview is also the scholarship audition.
