The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is one of the most distinguished public research universities in the world, consistently ranked among the top public universities in the United States. Situated in the twin cities of Champaign and Urbana in central Illinois, UIUC enrolls approximately 35,000 undergraduates. The College of Fine and Applied Arts (FAA) houses the Illinois School of Music, the Department of Theatre, and the Department of Dance — all of which operate in and around Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, one of the finest university performing arts complexes in the country, with five performance venues.
