About this program
The University of Central Florida (UCF) is one of the largest universities in the United States by enrollment (approximately 70,000 students) and is located in Orlando, Florida — home to Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, and one of the most active entertainment industry hubs in the country. Founded in 1963, UCF is a member of the American Athletic Conference. The School of Performing Arts is housed in the College of Arts and Humanities. Theatre UCF is NAST accredited. UCF's Orlando location makes it a premier destination for students interested in musical theatre, entertainment industry, and theme park careers. The UCF Performing Arts Complex houses multiple performance venues; the school also works in partnership with the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center (one of the largest performing arts centers in the US). UCF Music is home to the Flying Horse Big Band and Flying Horse Records. In-state tuition is approximately $6,300/year; out-of-state approximately $22,500/year (verify at ucf.edu).
