BA in Theatre & Performance Studies
University of Central Florida — Orlando, FL
About this program
The B.A. Theatre program at UCF is designed to prepare students for diverse careers in theatre and entertainment that support work on stage and beyond. Students select from five specializations—Applied Performance, Administration & Directing, Technical Production, Education, or Theatre Studies/Dramaturgy—and combine their theatre training with an aligned secondary area of study (minor or second major). The program provides flexibility for students to pursue their chosen career path while establishing a strong foundation for potential graduate study. B.A. Theatre students take the same core classes as all theatre majors for a thorough foundation, then fulfill remaining credits through specialization-specific theatre courses. Students have opportunities to audition for Theatre UCF productions, work backstage on productions, and become involved with student theatre groups and partnerships with organizations like Orlando Shakes and The Renaissance Theatre.
