About this program
The Bachelor of Arts in Global Jazz Studies at The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music is an interdepartmental program (IDP) that prepares students to be global citizens of jazz performance, scholarship, and entrepreneurship. The program integrates rigorous performance training with critical study of jazz traditions across global contexts. Global Jazz Studies majors receive individual instruction in their primary instrument and participate in ensembles.
