BM in Performance
The University of Tampa — Tampa, FL
About this program
The Bachelor of Music in Performance (BM) degree at The University of Tampa provides an in-depth study of music with an emphasis on developing individual musicianship and technique in one performance area. Designed for students who aspire to careers as professional musicians, the program prepares students to enter the field as performers, ensemble conductors, and music directors through intensive private lessons with highly-skilled professional faculty, participation in varied undergraduate-focused ensembles, and frequent experiential concert opportunities. Students develop a foundation of comprehensive musicianship that prepares them for future graduate study in music or careers as private music teachers. Throughout study, students participate in master classes and recitals, attend guest artist/faculty recitals, and become involved with the many cultural opportunities the Tampa Bay region has to offer. UTampa Music has been a NASM-accredited member since 1971.
