About this program
The Bachelor of Arts in Music at The University of Tampa is a flexible approach to undergraduate level music study that combines traditional training in music theory, history, and performance along with the ability to choose from a variety of electives that reflect the student’s musical interests. The BA in Music includes three separate program options: a concentration in Music Technology, a General concentration with an Instrumentalist track, and a General concentration with a Vocalist track. The Music Technology concentration is designed for students interested in electronic music, audio engineering, music production, and/or composition. The program focuses on creativity, innovation, and professional development in the field of music technology. As a liberal arts degree program, the music major (general) provides students with options for choosing elective course work that fits their personal interests, or to double major in music and another course of study.
