About this program
The State University of New York at New Paltz is a comprehensive liberal arts university in the Hudson Valley. The Department of Music is a fully accredited member of NASM and is approved by the American Music Therapy Association. The department offers a music major in a liberal arts setting, combining classical theory, piano, and history with contemporary and jazz theory and improvisation in a rigorous core foundation.
