About this program
Shorter University is a private Baptist liberal arts university in Rome, Georgia. The department offers a BA in Music and several BM degree pathways in Performance (vocal and instrumental), Music Education (with vocal and instrumental emphases), Piano Pedagogy, and Music and Worship Leadership. The department produces Opera Theatre and Musical Theatre performances (two major works each year in each genre), as well as the acclaimed Shorter Chorale and comprehensive instrumental ensembles. Faculty are world-class performers and dedicated researchers in their respective fields, and the low student-to-faculty ratio allows for highly individualised instruction.
