About this program
The BMus (Hons) Traditional Music at RCS is a four-year, full-time conservatoire degree for students dedicated to Scottish and other traditional music traditions. Developed with professional partners including the National Piping Centre, the program is the world's leading academic training ground for traditional music performance. Principal study instruments include fiddle, clarsach (harp), accordion, guitar, piano, whistles, flute, uilleann pipes, and more — as well as traditional voice. Students are part of a unique conservatoire environment alongside classical, jazz, acting, dance, filmmaking, and production students. Applications via UCAS Conservatoires + Acceptd.
