About this program

The BMus (Hons) Performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) is a four-year, full-time conservatoire degree preparing aspiring professional musicians for careers as performers, teachers, and portfolio professionals. RCS is the only conservatoire in Europe offering degrees across all of the performing arts on one campus, and is consistently ranked in the world's Top 10 for performing arts education by QS World Rankings. The program is strongly practical and vocational, with most study time devoted to individual and ensemble performance. The core curriculum includes professional skills development, research skills, and critical and reflective thinking. Principal study options include all standard orchestral instruments, piano, organ, harpsichord, classical guitar, voice, and composition. Students have access to RCS's five professional performance venues and perform in 500+ productions annually. RCS holds professional partnerships with all of Scotland's national arts companies. The campus in Glasgow features rehearsal rooms, recording studios, and over 90 practice rooms. Applications via UCAS Conservatoires + Acceptd. Keyboard applicants have an earlier deadline (2 October) than other instruments.
