Rose Bruford College — Sidcup, Greater London

BAActingSidcup, Greater London

About this program

The BA (Hons) Acting at Rose Bruford College is a three-year, full-time professional actor training program on the historic Lamorbey Park campus in Sidcup, 23 minutes from central London by train. Rose Bruford received Taught Degree Awarding Powers from His Majesty's Privy Council in 2017 and awards its own degrees; prior to that, qualifications were validated by the University of Manchester. The program prepares students for careers in theatre, television, and film through approximately 30 hours of learning per week across classes and projects. Training emphasizes voice and movement, screen skills, and professional preparation. All BA Acting final-year students perform in Rose Bruford's annual London Season at the Greenwich Theatre and Bridewell Theatre, with a London industry showcase for agents and casting directors. Rose Bruford pioneered the first acting degree in the UK in 1976. Applications are through UCAS only. Apply by the UCAS Equal Consideration deadline (typically mid-January) due to the length of the multi-stage audition process. The college campus features purpose-built rehearsal and movement spaces, two flexible drama studios, the fully-equipped Rose Theatre (330 seats in the round), Barn Theatre (90 seats), an outdoor dome theatre, and an XR Stage with motion capture suite.
