About this program
Rider University's Bachelor of Arts in Theatre program is part of the Department of Performing Arts and has held a rich tradition of theatre training for over half a century. The program offers students two distinct tracks: design & technology and theatre-making, allowing flexibility in pursuing careers as educators, directors, playwrights, producers, dramaturgs, stage designers, technical directors, and arts administrators. With six main-stage productions each year plus student-run productions through The Broncway organization, students gain extensive practical experience both on stage and behind the scenes. The program is taught by professionally active faculty with backgrounds in directing, design, Broadway acting, and commercial work, preparing graduates for diverse careers in all aspects of theatrical production and performance.
