About this program
Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon offers a Bachelor of Arts in Music through the School of Visual, Performing and Design Arts. OSU's music program benefits from the recently opened Patricia Valian Reser Center for the Creative Arts (PRAx), a world-class performance facility. Faculty are musical leaders throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. The BA in Music is a liberal arts degree for students who want to continue their musical development while pursuing a second area of study. Students may choose an option in music production. The BA does not require an audition for admission, making it accessible to highly motivated musicians who may not qualify for the competitive BM program. Students who begin in the BA may audition for the BM the following year.
