About this program
Oklahoma Baptist University's NASM-accredited BM in Music Education prepares students for Oklahoma K-12 music teaching certification. The program is designed for students who feel called to share their love of music with the next generation, preparing them to be certified and successful music teachers in both general music and either vocal or instrumental music in Pre-K-12 grades. OBU graduates work as professional orchestra musicians, teach music in public schools, work in churches, and pursue graduate study. OBU provides a minimum $12,000/year scholarship to all incoming freshmen.
