About this program
North Park's Bachelor of Music Education (BME) prepares teachers for choral, instrumental, and general music settings. Students choose a specialization in either instrumental music or voice/piano. All tracks have the same graduation and certification requirements. Conducting I (MUS 3170) covers beginning and intermediate beat patterns, baton technique, rehearsal planning, score preparation, and the psychology of conducting.
