About this program
NIDA's BFA (Acting) is a three-year full-time conservatoire course with the option to study as an actor or a singing actor. Training covers four skill disciplines — acting, music, movement, and voice — delivered in dedicated performance spaces with leading local, national, and global practitioners. Year One focuses on Engagement with Technique, Application of Technique, Performance and Ideas, Performance Makers, Encountering Performance, and Winjara. Year Two builds technique plus Contexts of Performance and Student-Led Project. Year Three covers Engagement with Technique, Interdisciplinary Collaboration, and Professional Practice, culminating in an industry showcase.
