About this program

Housed in the Department of Music and Arts Technology (Herron School of Art + Design). CLINICAL TRAINING: Students work with a wide variety of clients and patients in clinical settings in and around Indianapolis. MUSICAL FOCUS: All BSMTh students focus on piano, voice, and guitar in lessons throughout the degree, preparing for the broad musical demands of the music therapy profession. PRIOR EXPERIENCE: Prior formal music education is NOT required; some previous informal musical experience is required (local choirs/bands, a cappella groups, orchestra, music tech programming, solo performance, etc.).
