About this program
Immaculata University's BM in Music Education is one of the oldest academic programmes at Immaculata, preparing students to become certified music educators in public, private, or religious-affiliated schools from kindergarten through 12th grade. NASM accredited. Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) compliant. 'Because performance is emphasized within the curriculum, graduates are ready to use their instrument inside and outside the classroom.' ALL-STEINWAY SCHOOL: Access to Steinway concert grand pianos and Steinway-made practice pianos. Certificate in Music Performance: available to BM Music Education students. Graduate continuation: begin MM in Music Education coursework in spring semester of senior year (credits count toward PDE continuing education requirements). Faculty: William Carr (professor of music and piano; 'Top Music Teacher' six consecutive years).
