About this program
Hamilton College's Theatre concentration trains students in a 'dynamic, challenging community that aims to awaken and cultivate every student's creative potential.' Students learn, create, and perform in the new Kennedy Center for Theatre and the Studio Arts. CURRICULUM: Acting, directing, devising, playwriting, feminist theatre, queer theatre, design/technical theatre, dramaturgy, performance theory, American theatre, experimental performance, physical theatre, Lecoq-based pedagogy. NO AUDITION REQUIRED for admission. All Hamilton students — regardless of major — may audition for productions. PERFORMING ARTS SUPPLEMENT: Students may submit 1-5 videos (YouTube/Vimeo; not exceeding 5 minutes total) + description of plans for theatre involvement + summary of training/expertise + description of role in submitted work. Submit via applicant portal after Common App submission.
