About this program
Gustavus's Dance major provides professional dance training within a liberal arts context. No audition required for programme admission. GUSTAVUS DANCE COMPANY: Auditions held at end of spring semester (for returning students) and during orientation (for first-year students). Pre-professional performance company. GUSTAVUS APPRENTICE DANCE COMPANY: Auditions same schedule; for developing dancers. SPRING DANCE CONCERT: Fully produced; features faculty choreographers, guest artists, and select student work. Annual. SHARED SPACE: Student choreography showcase (fall of even years); auditions announced early in the semester; open to all interested dancers (Dance Company membership not required). CHOREOGRAPHERS' GALLERY: Odd fall semesters; select works of advanced choreography students; by application (due previous spring).
