About this program
Guilford's BA in Music provides 'a well-rounded education featuring music theory and music history courses, private lesson credits, and performance courses for a total of 41 to 43 credit hours.' Audition required to declare the music major. 'Students wishing to declare a major in music must audition to qualify. They should contact the department chair for information regarding specific repertoire requirements and to schedule an audition. Provisional acceptance can be granted to students who submit video files via email.' Career Development Seminar (junior level; MUSC 309): prepares for graduate studies or music career, with local internship experience, resume building, digital presence. College Choir: collaborates with Greensboro Choral Society and Greensboro Symphony Orchestra for large works (Carmina Burana etc.); tours Ireland, Prague, Vienna, Salzburg, Washington, New York.
