About this program
Goucher's BA in Integrative Arts Studies is the interdisciplinary arts degree. 'Core of classes engages students in collaborative studio work, challenges them to use art as a means for social change, demonstrates how they can become an entrepreneur/freelancer artist.' STUDENTS SELECT ONE OR TWO CONCENTRATIONS/MINORS from: music, theatre, dance, creative writing, arts management, visual and material culture, digital arts, and/or studio art. NOTE: For students who want to study theatre at Goucher, the Integrative Arts Studies major with a theatre concentration is the pathway — Theatre is offered as a MINOR ONLY at Goucher and is not a standalone BA degree. Career paths: educators, designers, administrators, fundraisers, agents, promoters, event organizers, art therapists.
