About this program
The BFA in Theatre Arts: Theatre Performance prepares students for professional performance careers. 'Benefit from professional mentoring, individual attention, and a wholistic approach to the art of theatre.' Low student-to-faculty ratio; faculty-led study abroad trips to England; Junior Journey to New York City; guest artists every semester. CURRICULUM: Acting; Stage Movement; Improvisation; Creative Expression; Script Analysis; Directing; Vocal Techniques. From first semester: students perform in productions, applying classroom skills to the stage. FSC FACULTY: Recipients of Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival awards and Orlando International Fringe Festival design awards. Same audition process as BFA Musical Theatre. Same facilities (Loca Lee Buckner Theatre; Frank Lloyd Wright Theatre-in-the-Round; Branscomb Auditorium). Same Junior Journey and NYC Industry Showcase.
