About this program
IMPORTANT: This degree is NOT available to international students. Domestic and New Zealand students only. The Bachelor of Creative Arts (Dance) is offered in collaboration with TAFE SA through the Adelaide College of the Arts. It is the only degree of its kind in South Australia and has an exciting partnership with the Australian Dance Theatre. CURRICULUM: Dance technique; devised movement practices; dance project realisation; choreography; stage performance; acting; anatomy; kinesiology; history of dance; music composition; production techniques; classical and contemporary dance; body conditioning and wellbeing. Students are concurrently enrolled in: Certificate IV in Dance (CUA40113) — TAFE SA qualification. Advanced Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance) (CUA60113) — TAFE SA qualification. PLUS the Flinders University bachelor's degree. CORE TOPICS taught at Adelaide College of the Arts, TAFE SA Adelaide city campus and Flinders city campus. Some electives may be offered online or at Bedford Park. PHYSICAL FITNESS REQUIREMENT: A positive physical fitness examination report from a recognised physiotherapist AND a doctor's certificate are required BEFORE an audition is offered. The Audition Panel (comprising lecturing staff of the Adelaide College of the Arts, Flinders University, and a physiotherapist) assesses and scores each applicant.
