About this program
Five Towns College offers two Bachelor of Music degrees as part of the School of Performing Arts. BM IN MUSIC PERFORMANCE: Designed for students pursuing careers as performers, composers, and professional musicians. Private instruction; ensemble participation; performance-focused coursework; students refine artistic voice and develop technical mastery. BM IN MUSIC TEACHER EDUCATION: Prepares students for careers as music educators. An interview with program faculty is required (in addition to any audition requirement). Contact admissions to arrange the interview. FIVE TOWNS COLLEGE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA AND WIND ENSEMBLES: These are audition-based ensembles composed of: public music teachers; private music educators; professional music players; and FTC students. Students of music who apply and audition are considered for participation. These large ensembles provide professional orchestral and wind ensemble experience alongside community musicians.
