About this program
The Bachelor of Performing Arts at Federation University's Arts Academy is 'designed for the contemporary performer.' It takes a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach to training, preparing students for a broad range of performing arts careers. CURRICULUM: Acting; singing; voice; movement; dance; creativity; theatre-making; aerobic fitness; mindfulness. Students train to 'maximize versatility in the creative arts industry.' CAREER PATHWAYS PREPARED FOR: Music theatre; theatre; film; stage; screen; cabaret; opera; comedy; streaming platforms; multi-media and emerging creative industries. CURRICULUM DETAIL (sample courses): Foundation skills; Curation Disruption and Activation; Acting Project; Dance Studio; Critical Studies in Theatre; Voice Studio; Screen and Small Ensemble Projects; Production and Showcase. SELECTION: Based on successful interview and audition PLUS completion of a Year 12 qualification (VCE or interstate/overseas equivalent), as well as prerequisite study requirements.
